Mayor Gerard Hudspeth and the Monopoly Man teamed up Tuesday night at the city’s Pumpkin Drop and Blocktober Party to unveil the board for a new Denton-themed Monopoly game.
Monopoly: Denton Edition features local businesses and locations voted on by the community in place of the classic Monopoly spots. According to a news release Wednesday, the game is the only licensed version in the state introduced by Top Trumps USA.
The game will be available for purchase at several of the spots featured on the board in Denton, including Recycled Books, Records & CDs, as well as at CVS and via Amazon for around $45.
The squares on the board feature the following businesses:
