The Technically Brilliant Show- Lunch Stream

Brazilian filmmaker Leonardo Souza is our guest on episode #4 of The Technically Brilliant Show. The new web series profiles Black creative technologists & execs using VR, AR, & other emerging tech to tell great stories. The show is a collaboration between Denton Black Film Festival & Black Public Media. The host is Lisa Osborne, the director of emerging media at Black Public Media. Tune in this Wednesday, June 2nd, at 12:30pm ET, to the live stream via the @DentonBFF YouTube Channel or Facebook Page.


We will discuss Leo’s room-scale VR experience, Rabiola Tales, which is set in a kite shop in Rio de Janeiro. The project will have two versions: A Unity version for Quest & Rift and a 360VR version for schools and museums. Rabiola Tales is original IP created by Leo, who is an editor and director based in Rio. The project was chosen for the 2021 NewImages XR Financing Market, which runs from June 9th-13th.

“The Technically Brilliant Show” profiles filmmakers, artists, and execs using virtual reality, augmented reality, and other technologies to tell Black stories. The show is a collaboration between Denton Black Film Festival Institute and Black Public Media’s BPMplus initiative. The lunch hour series will be released Every Wednesday at 11:30CT/12:30ET on Youtube and Facebook Live.
