The Denton Black Film Festival Institute works hard to bring year-round content to educate, equip, and inspire filmmakers and creatives. We have collaborated with some dynamic organizations with similar missions of spotlighting Black filmmakers. The lineup of guests are always intriguing, so we invite you to engage and participate in all we have to offer!

Soul Talk is a series that holds intimate conversations with creatives to discuss their work. Every second Sunday DBFF will bring you an engaging conversation that dives into the motive, interpretation, and implementation of a project. Guests will vary from the discipline of film, art, poetry, and music.

Panavision + DBFFi Presents

Voice X Vision

Voice x Vision is a collaborative social series by DBFFI and Panavision that gives a platform to exceptional filmmakers who are using their creative voice to tell powerful stories related to the Black experience. This series spotlights filmmakers not just working on set, but creatively expressing their artistic vision through an authentic vlog-style format. Those highlighted will include Cinematographers, Directors, ACs, Gaffers, on-set Photographers, and others identified by the DBFF Institute.

Our new short series will be released on the last Friday of each month on @panavisionofficial IGTV.

Black Public Media + DBFFi Present

“The Technically Brilliant Show” profiles filmmakers, artists, and execs using virtual reality, augmented reality, and other technologies to tell Black stories. The show is a collaboration between Denton Black Film Festival Institute and Black Public Media’s BPMplus initiative.

The lunch hour series will be released Every Wednesday at 11:30CT/12:30ET on Youtube and Facebook Live @dentonblackfilmfestival
