CHILDREN'S COMEDY COMPETITION

Children from the age of 6-12 are called to compete in a comedy competition. We are looking for 5 volunteers on the morning of the event to tell a joke and the one the audience chooses wins. Must be a good competitor and take something positive and useful from the experience. Topic is on Anti-Bullying – funny ways to de-escalate tense situations.

All members of the family are invited to attend this social skills event. Its purpose, besides a good time, is designed to teach children to cultivate a good sense of humor; especially during adversity. They’ll learn skills so they can defuse tense situations as opposed to reacting violently. Children are naturally funny and we’ll show them how to tap into that side of their personality. Darryl Littleton and one of Denton’s own local professional clowns will kick off the fun with games before the competition and continue the good times long after the winner has been announced.
