She has volunteered, written for, and co-hosted events at the Denton Black Film Festival for the past 7 years. Anthony “Ant” Johnson is a film critic based out of Houston, Texas. He’s been a film critic for over 8 years now and is a proud member of African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA). He has a passion for film and in particular providing exposure to people of color in front of and behind the camera. He strongly believes who we are and where we come from factor heavily into how we will interpret a film. Hence why it is so important to have African American film critics.

The two have paired up to present DBFF events such as the 2021 & 2022 Filmmaker Selection Reveals and Award Show. This virtual has great expectations to bring laugher into your homes.
